Golconda Gold Ltd began trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange Venture Board in September 2011 after completing the acquisition of Gallery Gold Pty Ltd from IAMGOLD in August 2011. Gallery Gold Pty Ltd was the 100% owner of Mupane Gold Mining (Pty) Ltd, a Botswana company that has been producing gold from the Mupane operation since 2005.
In November 2015 Golconda acquired Galaxy Gold Ltd a South African company that recommenced operations in 2019.
In May 2021 Golconda acquired the Summit Mine and Banner Mill with a view to recommencing operations.
In January 2022 Golconda disposed of the Mupane mine in Botswana.
